His blood alcohol content was 0.15 percent, deputies said. A BAC of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. He was released to military custody and summoned to appear April 18 in City Court.Brandi A. Mallette, 45, of 203 S. Indiana Ave., Apt 1, Watertown, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies at 2:47 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Walmart, 25737 US Route 11, Evans Mills, with petit larceny and trespassing. She is accused of stealing $78.46 worth of merchandise at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the store, deputies said. She was previously issued a no trespass order on Aug. 27, 2018, according to court documents. She was arraigned before LeRay Town Justice Cheryl A. Clark who sent her to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with bail set at $500 cash.Ronald H. McKenny, 33, of 1330 Halstead Rd., Parkville, MD, was arrested March 26 for a parole violation, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. He was held for arraignment.Brett P. Murdock, 49, of 44208 Lime St., Natural Bridge, was charged by state police at 8:24 a.m. March 12 on Wilna Avenue in Deferiet with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, suspended registration, no inspection and no insurance. James Arthur Johnson, 93, volunteered with Hampton University's ROTC cadets - Williamsburg Yorktown Daily

Mr. Johnson was born July 2, 1925, in Whaleyville to Junius and Margaret Johnson.The Johnsons moved to Hampton while he was very young. He attended Phoenix High School and should have graduated, but instead chose to lie about his age, so he could enlist in the U.S. Navy, where he served two years. After returning home, he attended Hampton Institute, was commissioned and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a postman in Hampton for over 40 years. After his retirement from the post office, he was a substitute teacher in the school systems of Hampton and Newport News.Mr. Johnson was very active in his church and served in many capacities. He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. He loved volunteering with the ROTC cadets at Hampton University until he was 80. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Peninsula Track Club, and later, a volunteer. His hobbies also included reading and bowling.Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Mary Evelyn Johnson and Theophilus Johnson; and daughter, Constance G. Garcia.He is survived by his beloved wife, Katherine; brother, Lonnie; daughters, Joylette and Katherine; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.Viewing will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 21, at O.H. Smith & Son Funeral Home followed by a wake service from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 22, at Carver Memorial Presbyterian Church.
